We are an orthopaedic and physiotherapy clinic in Bilbao specialising in mobility and robotic therapy. We support people with neurological and neurodegenerative conditions, and those living with reduced mobility.

The origin
Born to fill a void.
Idoia Gandarias and Mikel Ruiz de Alegría co-founded Pitxuflitos in 2006, hoping to fill a gap in the sector: leading mobility technology, explained and supported with judgement, close to every family.
Idoia Gandarias
Co-founder · Paediatric physiotherapist and orthoprosthetic technician
A Physiotherapy graduate from University College London with a postgraduate qualification in Paediatric Physiotherapy from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has devoted her career to children's health and leads initiatives that integrate technology and robotic therapy into clinical practice. She was principal investigator for the 2024 SDO® clinical trial and received the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD) First Prize for Innovation and Technology in 2026 for developing Mikeido Systems. She currently works with hospitals, clinics and schools across Spain and contributes to scientific conferences throughout Europe.
Mikel Ruiz de Alegría
Co-Founder · Administrative Director
Lawyer with more than 20 years of experience in business law. Graduated in Law from the University of the Basque Country, with a master's degree in business legal advice and a senior technician in occupational risks. He has directed the administration of Pitxuflitos since the beginning of the activity and is in charge of forging links with innovative companies around the world, importing and distributing international cutting-edge technology.
