Posture and support

Good posture in standing, sitting and prone.

A well-held posture improves breathing, digestion, attention and participation. We bring together standing frames, chairs and seats, footwear and orthoses to accompany growth judiciously.

How it works

A well-aligned base frees up your daily life.

The equipment guides a safe, repetitive movement: the body works standing, with support, and every repetition counts. This is how we start it:

1

Postural assessment

We look at head and trunk control, hips, feet and tolerance to use.

2

Custom fit

We configure support, angles and accessories for the target posture.

3

Progressive use

We introduce the equipment into the routine with a measurable progression.

4

Review and growth

We readjust as the body changes and new goals appear.

Why is positioning important?

Because a well-held posture can change a lot on a day-to-day basis. It helps you breathe better, rest better, digest better, look at your surroundings, use your hands and participate with less effort. It's not just about “being straight,” it's about positioning your body so you can do more things safely.

What is the difference between standing, sitting and prone?

Standing works on standing and carrying. Sitting seeks a stable sitting posture to free hands, gaze and attention. The prone position places the body face down in a controlled manner to work on extension, support and postural tolerance. Each position has different objectives and they are not always prioritized at the same time.

How do you decide between a stander, chair, seat, orthosis or shoes?

The decision depends on where the main difficulty appears: standing up, staying seated, aligning feet and ankles, controlling the trunk, avoiding compensations or facilitating a specific activity. Often there is no single isolated piece; the important thing is that the whole thing makes sense for the routine.

Is positioning only useful during childhood?

No. In childhood it is especially important because the body is growing and sustained postures influence development. But adults may also need postural support to prevent pain, facilitate transfers, improve comfort, or better participate in daily activities.

What do you review before recommending a positioning solution?

We review current posture, muscle tone, head and trunk control, hips, feet, tolerance to time of use, environment and daily goals. The best solution is not the most complex, but the one that allows you to maintain a useful and comfortable posture in a realistic way.
